TWO YEAR PART-TIME CERTIFICATE COURSE IN DYSLEXIA THERAPY

Lead Trainer:
Ms. Sandra Dillon, M.A., CALT, Director, MLTI-NM, is a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and a Qualified Trainer and Qualified Instructor, with decades of experience at the Albuquerque Public School’s Language Clinic for Students with Dyslexia. She is the author of Sounds In Syllables, an Orton-Gillingham based curriculum designed to meet the needs of bright, but severely reading-impaired high school students, which has been in use for over 30 years as the core curriculum in public schools and clinics across the USA and Canada. Ms. Dillon will conduct lectures via video throughout the duration of the programme.

Eligibility: Graduation in Psychology, Human Development, Child Development, Language, Education or related fields. Preference will be given to mainstream teachers, occupational and speech therapists and those already in the field of Special Education.
Course Fee: Rs 75,000/- for the first year, inclusive of basic kit sufficient to start with the first student. Rs 65,000/- for the second year.
Course Dates : OPTION 1 - 13th May to 29th May 2019
OPTION 2 - 10th June to 26th June 2019
Either Option 1 or 2 will run based on minimum 10 participants per batch.( so please send in your options for the dates while registering to finalise the batch dates. If you are OK with both dates please mention accordingly )
15 Days Theory and Hands-on Practice Classes in either May or June 2019. Thereafter, contact classes will be held in 5 modules of 4 days each in alternate months in the first year and 2 modules of 4 days each in the second year.
Course completion certificates will be awarded by MDA.
Dyslexia Therapist Certificate on successful completion of 2 years.
Dyslexia Teacher Certificate on successful completion of 1 year.
