The Maharashtra Dyslexia Association is a not-for-profit organisation committed to building an integrated support system for individuals with Dyslexia in order to equip them with the necessary skills and opportunities required to lead successful and fulfilling lives.
On the occasion of World Dyslexia Awareness Week 2019, we look forward to your valuable support in helping us raise awareness about Dyslexia and other Learning Disabilities. In line with this year’s theme of ‘DYS IS TALENT” : DYSLEXIA AND OTHER SPLDS!’, we request your permission to promote and conduct the following free activities in your school premise between 30th September & 6th October :
- Poster competition for students on the theme ‘DYS IS TALENT’
A 2 hour sensitisation program will be held for the students on Dyslexia , with screening of scenes from TZP- Taare Zameen Par movie to explain and help them generate ideas for the poster .It will also include a 6 min fusion dance performance by 6 children on the theme “EMPATHY”
( Posters can be submitted by the school latest by 15th October )
- FREE two-hour awareness workshop for teachers with Dyslexia Screening tool
- FREE one-hour talk for parents
The sessions for parents and teachers will be conducted by experts from our team. Each of these will be followed by Q&A session which will allow participants to get answers to specific queries they may have.

These workshops can be done in Hindi/Marathi/English . The workshops will be done separately for Primary & Secondary teachers.
