It is my greatest pleasure to inform you that Maharashtra Dyslexia Association will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2016. To mark the occasion, we are organizing READ 2016 a three-day International Conference on ‘Dyslexia & Learning Disabilities – From Research to Application’.
Reading fluently underpins all academic activity and is the strongest predictor of academic success for most students. Children learn to read through the Primary years and subsequently read to access information on science, social studies, economics....... Without acquiring the crucial skills needed to read fluently and express what they need to in writing, students are doomed to flounder.
Following the overwhelming response to READ 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014, this Conference will focus on research-based strategies for building competencies in those who struggle to acquire reading, writing and comprehension skills.
