Parenting a child with LD can sometimes be an overwhelming and isolating experience. Whenever there's a loss of hopes and dreams, whenever you confront the reality that "something is different, something is wrong" with your child, you experience various feelings, such as grief, shock, guilt, anger, depression. All these are common and you are not alone in this struggle. There are several parents who battle these feelings daily along with trying to understand, cope with and help their children. MDA invites parents to join the Parent Support Group (PSG), get actively involved in this forum and make it their own.

The PSG addresses issues at monthly meetings conducted at the Centers, where parents can share their experiences, ask questions and discuss their problems. Informative talks and workshops are regularly conducted by professionals, which benefit parents in their efforts to bring up a dyslexic child. The PSG is managed and run by parents along with professional support from MDA.
